Reasons why Henry Nobley from Austenland is 100% a green flag

As you may know, being grumpy does not necessarily imply being also a bad person. Mr Darcy taught us as much. But besides the evident reasons why we all agree that the character of Mr Nobley is great, I would like to share a list of cute particulars I’ve noticed somewhere between the fifth and the sixth time of rewatching it.

1.

In this scene Jane is a bit on edge, she’s been assaulted by the owner’s husband and succeeded in defending herself. While making sure she’s alright, Mr Nobley hesitates to touch her shoulder and gives her time to react in case she feels uncomfortable with having physical contact.

He truly never lied about himself AND he’s an history professor. Like… not only that’s hot as hell, but HE ALSO 👏KNOWS👏WHAT👏HE'S👏TALKING👏ABOUT👏

He freaking improvised those lines using his literary knowledge and didn’t even realise he said he loved her.

1v.

He also never questioned nor diminished Jane’s abilities, he was supportive and not at all intimidated.

It was very nice of him to be honest and admit that he felt nervous near Jane.

Come on, no one can tell me he wasn’t vibing with that song that’s one of the most hilarious moments.
